Some of you might remember that I had posted about ‘Truth’ in March. For some reason the post is no longer in my archive…

This morning as I was driving to work I thought about ‘Truth’. Truth, what is truth? Many people in today’s society don’t see the Bible as truth. Jesus is per unbelievers not the “Only Way” to heaven…I believe that Jesus is the only way. Not because I said so, but Jesus did in John 14…

Today, I am thankful for the Truth – for His Truth – the One I can trust…

• Thank you Lord for the gift of the Holy Spirit to allow me to see your Truth. Because of the Christ – I am set free. Lord help me to stand for the Truth here on my personal blog, and at Laced with Grace until Your return or You call me home…
• I am thankful that I can talk to my beloved in truth. If I am hurting, I can share with him my hurt. He is my comfort in the times that are not so wonderful…
• I am thankful that I can be truthful with some of my girlfriends. I don’t have to hold back, because I know they understand my struggles…
• I am thankful that we still can (for now) share our Christian faith with others… There are some legislative bills out there that are currently considered to be passed in various states that might restrict sharing our ‘exclusive’ faith…
• I am thankful for pastors, Biblical teachers/leaders, authors that teach us truth – truth that only can found in Scripture…

I know that I have used ‘Love’ before this year…but His love and the love of family and friends have kept me focused and sane over the last couple of weeks. So writing and sharing my gratitude for ‘Love’ was natural in this current storm I find myself in…

• Lord, thank You for your never ending love for me. Because of Your love, I can face tomorrow with a smiling face (even when I don’t ‘feel’ like it)…
• Lord, thank You for the husband You have placed by my side. With gratitude in my heart, I thank You for the 25 years of marriage…
• Lord, thank You for my loving mom, who always has a word of encouragement for me…
• Lord, thank You for showing me what ‘sacrificial’ love means. Although it is not easy, with Your help, I can manage it…
• Lord, thank You for loving friends who pray for me when I am in need. You know how much I need the prayers right now…
• And thank You Lord for helping me to show love to unloving people in this dark world…

Sweet sisters in Christ. Thank you so much for your willingness to share your grateful heart every week. I know that some times it is not easy to show gratitude. But our Lord is worthy of our gratitude, love and devotion every single day. Even when our own little world we live in is up-side-down. He is the One who will help us even through the darkest moments in life. We know that this is not ‘it’…the best is yet to come. Until then I will praise Him from the valleys and mountain-tops…

Ha – so my post from last week disappeared, except the Bible passage and the links to the participants. I wonder what happened? I tell you – this blogging business can be very tricky. I wonder if I can find my post from last week…

This week I am thankful for His provision in my life. It boggles my mind sometimes how generous our Lord is. Specifically I am thankful for…

• Thank you Lord for given me Your Word so I may always find the comfort I need when I am down…
• I am thankful that the Lord is helping me to keep focus what is really important in life. Although my job is really demanding and I don’t agree with some of what is happening, I am content (only through prayer…)…
• I am thankful for our house, food, running water. I always take these things for granted, but there are some without…
• I am thankful that the Lord grants me health. I have seen so many people being sick – I have been fairly healthy all my life…
• I am thankful that the Lord gave me thoughts on a devotion I wrote on Monday night. I was totally empty, but He filled me up – thank you sweet Jesus…
• I am thankful that I had patience to up-grade the devotional blog manually last weekend (although it gave me some more gray hairs…). I don’t like messing with up-grades, but they are necessary…
• I am thankful that the Lord provided some additional writers for Laced with Grace. I will let you know next week who the new writers are . I am also thankful that one of my sweet friends will be returning to write for Laced with Grace next month. Laurel – it means a lot to me that you are…
• And last but not least I am thankful that the Lord has placed such a patient husband by my side…
