Thankful Thursday ~ Rest

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” ~ Matthew 11:28-30 (ESV – emphasis mine)

Did you knew that one of the definition of rest is “peace of mind or spirit”? Really, I didn’t make this up – you can check it our yourself at Webster 😛 …Are you rested today? Have you spent time with Him lately? Believe me – if I don’t spend time with Him in His Word or prayer, I get restless. Too many things flood my mind…So, today, I am thankful for rest for body, spirit and soul…

  • Lord – thank you for preserving your Word for us to find rest. You always refresh us. You are a place for peace…

  • Lord – thank You for giving me rest about our son. I know that You are watching over him…

  • Lord – I am thankful for musicians like Jadon Lavik. Lord You know how much I love praise music. It makes my workday easier – I can rest knowing You are right there with me…

  • Lord – thank You for giving me rest about my job. I am almost caught up with the old (2007) stuff and can look ahead to the next fiscal year…
  • Lord – thank You for giving me rest about Laced with Grace. Thank you for blessing the women that blog about You…

  • Lord – thank You for my beloved who knows just the right way for me to rest. Thank You for the wonderful world You have created around us. I just love taken photos of Your creations…
