Marriage Monday ~ Celebrating Our Womanhood

For Marriage Monday, Chrysalis is inviting us to complete the below prompts to help us to get to know each other as a unique daughter of God. For detailed instruction, please visit E-Mom’s weblog.

I am… fearfully and wonderfully made.
I want… to encourage others.
I have… hunger for God’s Word.
I wish… I would be more creative.
I hate… dishonesty.
I miss… my family in Germany.
I fear… loneliness.
I feel… loved.
I hear… the birds in the backyard.
I smell… bacon that my hubby cooked this morning.
I crave… acceptance for who I am in Him.
I search… for things made the U.S.A. (and found some very cool stuff)
I wonder… if it will rain today.
I regret… my wander years without God.
I love… my family and friends (and try to love my enemies).
I ache… in my lower back.
I care… about child hunger (and it should be eradicated in first world nations)
I always… hope for a better tomorrow.
I am not… not a fan, but follower of Christ.
I believe… Jesus Christ died for my sins.
I dance… all the time.
I sing… in my head all day long.
I cry… when I am mistreated
I don’t always… speak the truth in love.
I fight… for the underprivileged.
I write… to bring hope into the dark world.
I never… say ‘never’.
I listen… to music that lifts my heart.
I need… my hair cut.
I am happy… when I can spend time with my hubby and son.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
(Psalm 139:14 ESV)

Thank you for stopping by to get to know me a little 😛 .

Love and peace,
Iris

  1. Thank you for sharing with all of us! It’s great to get reacquainted with everyone, I’ve been away for a bit. You said you miss your family in Germany..my Mom was from Germany! Where did you grow up? My Omi lived in a small town named Ochsenfurt on the Main River.
    Have an awesome day!

  2. I can identify with the fear of loneliness. Best cure is to fearlessly seek out the lonely and love them. How honest about trying to love ones enemies, we are called to so I hear you on the working on it! It is, after all, important. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I enjoyed reading about you…”meeting” you for the first time! it’s always nice to meet other women bloggers, especially through the Marriage Monday ministry! have a great week!!

  4. I love the name of your blog! And I also am so grateful for people like you that “fight for the underprivileged.” Thanks for sharing from your heart, Iris!

  5. You opened on such a positive note… “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Bravo!

You sure seem creative to me … I guess I’d like to be more creative too.

It did rain a little here in our part of the world yesterday around 5 PM. Did you feel it? (We were walking along one of the canals at the time.)

I need a haircut too. I have an apppointment scheduled for Sunday. Can’t wait!

I’d love to meet you IRL, Iris. Let’s plan a date some time soon. So happy you were able to join us for Marriage Monday, today!

    Hugs, e-Mom ?

  6. Iris,
Loved your list! I, too, sing in my head all day. I don’t understand your not feeling creative—I would love to have your photographic creativity! Guess we always dream for something else.

    Have a blessed day…….Mipa

  7. It made me smile that you put fearfully and wonderfully made on the first one. 🙂 I need a hair trim to I was noticing the other day when I was brushing my hair.
