Steps

I was surprised that I had several photos in my archives that would have fit for this week’s photo hunt theme  – who knew…

Anyway, these steps are located in Bisbee. They connect the lower level of downtown Bisbee with the upper level. They are pretty steep and the path is very narrow…the steps do remind me of Europe…

Well, I better let you go so you can visit many photo hunters…thank you for stopping by today.

Have a wonderful weekend and as always…

It’s such a nice photo in the first place, but I really love the way you softened the edges. Perfect for today’s theme, Iris.

Hi Iris, althought I don’t yet participate in Photo Hunt, I saw your lovely picture on another blog and wanted to come by and say ‘hello’ and wish you a blessed weekend. Your blog is always an encouragement. *Hugs*

The narrow and winding streets of Europe with the passageways of steep steps is so mysterious and alluring…. the cobblestone streets and wonderful architecture of the buildings only adds to that feeling. Great shot!

I googled “Bisbee” so now I know what it is!!
Good choice for today’s theme, it seems you were lucky to find a quiet moment for these steps: it seems they see a lot of “traffic”!
    Happy weekend to you :)

  18. Dana says:

I was surprised too how many “steps” photos I have too. Very nice picture (As always…) :) Thank you Iris!

I like the photo, I love photo’s that show depth. These steps are a little like my scores, connecting the lower part with the upper part of a town.

  22. Sue says:

They do look quite worn, and well travelled! Excellent choice for the hunt .. :)

  23. Carmen says:

These are cool steps–they seem to be making a promise–I like how you’ve enhanced the picture, too.

It made me think of another photo on my files I could have used as well. Like you, I found several that were appropriate, but I chose the one that had a deeper meaning.

  24. Diane says:

Who would have thought….steps…could be so beautiful!

What a cool picture! I took one similar to that one while I was on a mission trip in Antiqua, Guatemala!

  33. Sarah says:

YOu know I was just thinking that the picture was Europe until I clicked your link. I was thinking somewhere Mediterranean – Italy, Spain or even Greece.

  34. Lori Madison says:

    Hi Iris,

When I look at this picture I get the impression of a couple of different things… I don’t know why. I see America, Mexico, and also the theme of striving for a goal. Be Blessed..

  35. Cool photo! You’re right, it does remind me of Europe! Or at least the photos I’ve seen of Europe.

  36. Great choice for the theme. I really like the perspective!

  37. Vader's Mom says:

Those step have a lot of character. Great choice!

  38. meeyauw says:

Those stairs are well-worn! I’m surprised how many cities use steps like that to connect areas.

  39. JHS says:

You have a really nice blog. There is something odd going on, however. I can’t access your blog from my normal IP address. I have to change my IP to avoid getting a “forbidden” message. I can’t imagine why you would block my regular IP address since I don’t recall being here previously and we have never interacted. Very peculiar. Has anyone else mentioned having a similar problem?

I checked in because I will be participating in the “In Other Words” meme.

Great photo with a nice effect.
