Gentle words and gentle mouths are contrary to culture aren’t they? Gentleness when we are frustrated takes the strength of the Holy Spirit and a deliberate choice doesn’t it? That’s not easy. I’m sure you are a shining example in your workplace.

It can be so frustrating to hear women and men using profanity. I am amazed at times as well but then I think back to how I was before I knew the Lord. What is really painful is when someone you know loves the Lord all of a sudden lets loose with a stream of… Then I think we should confront in love as the Bible tells us to do. Hard call there.

This reminds me when I worked at a car dealership, I don’t think rules applied there in how to treat women. All I can say is I am glad I am gone, being around them affected how I thought and how I acted (garbage in garbage out).

I used to be in the restaurant industry. During these years I was not living for the Lord and it did not take long before my mind and mouth joined them.
I have been away from that life for over 10 years and God has cleaned my mind.
The real test is when something like dropping a can on your bare foot happens.
Before the world I can say that nice things came out of my mouth. A little something like–well, that was not nice.
I pray that you mind stays protected from the things you hear.
I know it is rough.

I have noticed the same when I am in a group of women. After a while they began to notice that I did not follow their example and the words became softer from the other women.
