Lecrae – Tell The World (Feat. Mali Music)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV)

Some of you who know me for a long time, might think I fell of my rocker sharing a Hip-Hop/RAP music video on my blog. You see, God gives us all different talents, and Lecrae is reaching a different group than the ones you and me reach. Isn’t that what we are called to do? Tell the world about Jesus Christ?

So, my sweet friend, look past the music style; listen to the message Lecrae and Mali Music are sharing in this song, AND tell the world about Jesus!

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
(1 Corinthians 12:12 ESV)

The Afters – Every Good Thing

“Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” (James 1:16-17 ESV)

Often we look only at the daily challenges, but God gives us good things every single day. Take a closer look at your life today, and I guarantee that there is more positive then negative. For me, I have a wonderful husband, a great son and a marvelous family (blood and spiritual).

The song ‘Every Good Thing’ by The Afters is a song that make my feet dance and my spirit sore. Listen to the words and thank God for the gifts He has given you! Have a super blessed weekend!!!

Love & peace,
Iris

Thankful Thursday ~ Redeemed

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—
(Galatians 3:13 ESV)

SoSubstituteme of you may know this about me: music is a huge part of my life. It gets me through the day, especially when the days don’t go smooth. If my day goes ‘south’, I put on my pink head-phones, listen to the my downloaded music or the radio station.

One of the songs that has been playing lately on KFLR is Big Daddy Weave’s song “Redeemed“. Love that song. It is a great reminder that I don’t have to be perfect each and every day, but that I can look to the cross and know that my Savior has redeemed me.

“All my life I have been called unworthy
Named by the voice of my shame and regret
But when I hear You whisper, “Child lift up your head”
I remember oh God, You’re not done with me yet” ~ Big Daddy Weaver

Aren’t those lines beautiful? Yes, God lifts my head and He will use me even in my brokenness. If that is not a reason to be thankful, I don’t know what is!!!

What are you thankful for this week? Please do share with us by leaving a link to your Thankful Thursday post below.

Thank you for stopping by today. Remember: He has Redeemed all of us!!!!

Love & peace,
Iris

Praise & Worship ~ Michael Card

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
(Matthew 11:28 ESV)

Sometimes an old hymns brings me to tears at church. So did today during communion “Come Ye Sinners – Poor and Needy”. It is so wonderful to know that Christ stands ready to receive us in His arms.

I have found this beautiful rendition by Michael Card on YouTube. Listen to words and the music is just down my alley…

Praise and worship, not only on Sundays, but every day.

Love & peace,
Iris
