Thankful Thursday ~ He Rocks!

“Oh that my words were written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book! Oh that with an iron pen and lead they were engraved in the rock forever! For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.” ~ Job 19:23-25 (ESV – emphasis mine)

Since I was tagged with the “Why I ‘Dig’ Jesus Meme” by Terri, Leigh, Carol and Heather, I said to myself: “Self, why not use this meme to share with the Thankful Thursday bunch why I love/dig Him?”…But instead of digging/loving I will use the word “HE ROCKS!” (Oh, is that against the rules?)…So, here are my five reasons what I am thankful for this week and why I think Jesus rocks/I ‘dig’ Him:

• Jesus rocks because I am saved by His grace through faith alone. I don’t have to earn my way to heaven–I wouldn’t make it there anyway on my own doing (Ephesians 2:8-10) …
• Jesus rocks because He gives me strength every.single.day. Not sure how I would get through those rough days I am going through right now without Him (Philippians 4:13)…
• Jesus rocks because He has given me a firm foundation I can build on. The days I am a little wobbly, I am glad that I have the Rock under my feet (Matthew 7:24-27) …
• Jesus rocks because He has given my His helper so I don’t have to feel like an orphan in a strange land (John 14:15-21) …
• Jesus rocks because He never gave up on me–even when I was wandering away from Him like the prodigal son. He pursued my heart like no other (Luke 15:11-32)
