I Make My Friends Think…

thinking blogger award

My friends Laurel at ‘Laurel Wreath’ and Terri at ‘In His Hands’ graced Sting my Heart with the “Thinking Blogger Award”…Ladies, you are very kind to this old gal…I am thankful from the bottom of my heart.

Here is what Laurel had to say about Sting My Heart:

Iris, at Sting My Heart, not only has become a close blogger friend, but her heart for God and her testimony on her marriage, and her gently spirit make her one of my favorite people who definitely make me think. Go visit her and poke around, you will be blessed.

Terri’s take on Sting My Heart:

…She is the epitome of a true believer and so full of encouragement and wisdom. Her blog glows with the love of Christ. I don’t know what the rules are on nominating someone that has already been nominated but I have to include Iris.

***Update*** Heather, from “The Roller Coaster Ride of my Life” gave me the “Thinking Blogger Award” as well. Heather said:

Iris at Ephesians 28:10. This lady inspires me constantly to hold fast to my beliefs and to keep trusting in God! If you haven’t already, check out her blog!

Thank you again for your wonderful words…I am truly blessed to you know you…

But how this award goes, you pay forward…Meaning you send this award to others in the blogsphere that make you think. Here are the official rules of this award:

If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,

Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,

Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative gold version if silver doesn’t fit your blog).

Here is my list of bloggers that make me think:

  • She Lives“–Carol always makes me think–turning to Scripture. Understanding what Jesus says is sometimes not easy, and sometimes even devastating. Check out this post from January 11th…After you have read that post, check out her entire blog, because she is always is pointing you to the Bible.
  • TNChick“–With her Saturday Photo Hunt, she always makes me think what to post for the weekly theme. Couple of weeks ago, I was stumped. Couldn’t think of anything to post for this theme. If you are not a Photo Hunter yet, check it out. It is fun (and most of the time easy).
  • The Preacher’s Wife“–Lisa is a woman that warms my heart. As her blog title might give you a clue; she is married to a pastor. What I love about her blog? She is real and approachable. Check out her post “As if there is anything better in the world…“. Why did that post make me think? Lisa shows that it doesn’t matter what age-group you are. We all have a common denominator – Christ Jesus
  • Fruit in Season“–Christine makes me think about my marriage with her new Monday meme “Marriage Monday”. Although our marriage is pretty good, there is always room for improvement. Check out her latest topic of “Expectations“. I hope to participate this week.
  • Darlene Schacht’s Blog“–Darlene is an incredible woman who has come up with the wonderful weekly meme of “In Other Words”. This brings women of faith together on a weekly basis. Read her post from last week Pivotal Moments — if that doesn’t make you think, I don’t know what will.

This is only a small fraction of the bloggers I ‘hang out’ with and make me think…My hope is that you will check at least these wonderful gals out. If you need more good reads, check out my blogroll

Blessings on your Palm Sunday evening and as always…

  1. Lovely choices Iris…I was tagged for this…and you were on my short list (b/c you always make me t.h.i.n.k.). Since you’ve already done it, I’ll letcha off the hook. This time, anyway :).

  2. Thank you, wow!! I am so blessed. I’m having a terrible time over here since that new program I just purchased is total garbage. 🙁 It’s making my day quite horrible. But this cheered me up, thanks! I really like the choices that you made, other than me. 🙂

  3. Iris,

I’m sure I did nothing to deserve such a sweet encouraging friend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart…You would have been on the top of my list had I gotten this first! :)) I appreciate this more than you know…

    Lisa
